Dr Peter Foo is a registered specialist orthodontist with the Dental Board of Australia.

Peter completed his undergraduate dental degree at the University of Sydney where he graduated with First Class Honours. Subsequently, he worked in private practice. During his time in private practice, he was involved as a clinical tutor at the University of Sydney, where he taught and mentored dental students in Oral Surgery. He has also been involved with volunteer dental work in Cambodia where he helped with setting up a Children’s Dental Department at the Siem Reap Children’s Hospital.

During his specialist training at the University of Adelaide, he was involved with teaching and mentoring dental students in Orthodontics. As part of his Doctor of Clinical Dentistry Degree in Orthodontics, Peter completed his research work in cleft lip/palate treatment in collaboration with the Australian Craniofacial Unit in Adelaide. His work has won research prizes and has been published in the Cleft Palate Craniofacial Journal and the European Journal of Orthodontics. Most recently, he was awarded the 2011 Australian Society of Orthodontists Merit Award for his research. Peter has been invited to present his research work both internationally and locally at various Orthodontic Conferences.

Following the completion of his specialist orthodontic qualifications, Peter has attained his Membership in Orthodontics with the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh and with the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons. Peter has been awarded the 2011 Australasian Orthodontic Board award for Best Treated Orthodontic Case. He is also a certified member of The Australasian Orthodontic Board.

As part of his dedication to continuing education, he regularly attends both local and international Orthodontic Conferences. He also holds membership in the Australian Society of Orthodontists, Australian Begg Orthodontic Society, World Federation of Orthodontists, Australian Dental Association and Australian Society of Implant Dentistry.
