Braces

Braces straighten teeth by putting steady pressure on your teeth and by staying in place for a certain amount of time. Most people just need regular braces with wires and rubber bands doing their jobs to keep pressure on the teeth. The sophisticated wires on your braces exert a very gentle, biocompatible force to move teeth. Braces is a fixed appliance and is never removed during treatment. Therefore, it works full-time to straighten your teeth, making it a very effective treatment option. Fixed braces are excellent at achieving fine detail, resulting in a beautiful smile and healthy bite.

METAL BRACES

Metal braces are the most common type of braces and are smaller and more comfortable today than ever before! Metal braces made of high-grade stainless steel straighten your teeth using metal brackets and archwires. With metal braces, you have the option of adding colored elastic “o-rings”. The elastic rings that go along with braces come in funky colors now, too. So you could have black and orange ones for Halloween; or green and red ones for Christmas!

CERAMIC BRACES

Ceramic braces are made of clear materials and are therefore less visible on your teeth than metal braces. Ceramic braces are used mainly on older teenagers and adult patients who have cosmetic concerns. While they are visually less prominent, they do require more detailed attention to oral hygiene as ceramic braces are larger and are more brittle than their metal counterparts. Thus, ceramic braces tend to be used more on upper front teeth than on lower teeth.
